Asahi Procurement Specialist - UK | Woking

We are currently looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement function based at our European HQ in Woking. The Procurement Specialist will report directly to the UK Head of, as well as providing support to Above-Market Procurement and UK Supply Chain teams. With the opportunity to travel in the UK and in North West Europe for supplier visits. This is an Indirect procurement focused role, but we would consider applicants from a Direct background.

Your key responsibilities are going to be active engagement with the stakeholders during the sourcing cycle, performing category management, and act as a point of contact between the procurement organisation and planning and supply teams both locally and globally. 

This role also includes:

  • Assist in the development of Rfx
  • Facilitate end to end sourcing initiatives, via traditional and e-sourcing methods, including a review of the process to ensure continuous improvement
  • Prepare fact-based negotiation packages, to in support of the Category Management team in the negotiation process
  • Support preparation of implementation plans
  • Coordinate the analysis of supplier submissions
  • Develop category specific toolkits (i.e. excellence toolkits) and train Category Managers in adequate execution to improve the knowledge and management of the category
  • Continuously track forecasted vs. actual savings according to the Asahi Value Tracking Process using the Asahi Procurement Benefits Methodology
     

Your ideal background / experience:

  • Preferably 2 years + industry experience
  • University/bachelor degree qualification is essential
  • CIPS qualification desirable but not essential
  • Proficiency in English essential
